5342 Memorial

Every skater has their home rink, we were proud to be theirs.

On January 29th, 2025, we lost skaters, coaches, families, and friends to American Airlines Flight 5342. This past year our rink has leaned on one another, found strength in shared memories, and discovered just how deep and resilient our skating community truly is. This community became a source of comfort and healing for many, and a reminder that none of us skate alone. We will continue to carry their spirit in the way we support one another, in the passion we bring to the rink, and in the love we hold for this community. We skate for them—today, always, and for every year to come.

In their honor, CRP Management commissioned and unveiled a sculpture as a lasting tribute for the enduring impact they had on our community. The sculpture depicts two skaters reaching above to achieve their highest potential—never giving up. The sculpture will be displayed in a memorial case at our facility with a candle lit on each anniversary for years to come. Zachary Oxman, a local artist whose father was the architect for the Ashburn Ice House, designed and created the sculpture.

Spring Cleaning = A new center ice logo! This one is extra special.
