As Northern Virginia joins the rest of the state by moving into Phase 1, we would like to announce that the Ashburn Ice House will be reopening on Friday, May 29th in a limited capacity.
During this limited opening in Phase 1, our Pro Shop will be open and we will also begin to conduct outside fitness training. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our activities have been drop in. Moving forward, registration for these activities will be done on our new registration system. We are excited to offer this for everyone and ask for your patience as we work with the provider to on some updates to improve the experience. The first step will be to join opensports.net and then you will be able to join our Ashburn Ice House Groups.
Beginning on Friday, May 29th, our Pro Shop will be open by appointment only. You can book pro shop fitting appointments and curbside skate sharpening drop off on OpenSports. Our hours of operation for the Pro Shop will be 9am-3pm Monday-Friday, and 10am-4pm Saturday and Sunday.
Beginning on Monday, June 1st, we will begin to offer outdoor training for hockey skills as well as strength and conditioning. These classes will take place outdoors utilizing our outdoor rink and parking lot space. Classes will be offered for specific age groups and are all available via OpenSports. Emails have been sent to our existing customer base about the programs. We are excited to be able to offer some services during Phase 1 and can’t wait until we are able to get everyone back on the ice. As always, the safety of our employees, customers, and community at large will always be our #1 priority. We have put many new measures in place in accordance with Government, Department of Health and CDC guidelines to ensure that the Ashburn Ice House will always be a safe place for all.
